Bon voyage

Posting a little later than usual today.  My productivity has been significantly slowed by Mr. M, who significantly freaked me out this morning by calling me to let me know that New York will be the proud recipient of another snow storm on Wednesday.  I had just come from a wonderful facial at StaceyO StudiO, which just opened here in Columbia, and was picking up some travel items at Target when he called.  Every since, I’ve been absolutely fretting over what to pack, if I should bring an extra outfit just in case I get delayed and have to come home the next day, if my mother will be able to help out if that happens, etc. etc. etc.

So, it seems that I’m off for a great adventure! I’m looking forward to catching up with the latest in some New York design circles, catching up with new and old friends, and eating fabulous food.  Tomorrow night is the James Beard Foundation dinner featuring Chef Mike Davis.  Otis Taylor at The State Newspaper wrote a great article about Chef Mike and the upcoming dinner in yesterday’s paper:

It is going to be a fantastic dinner.  I’m just too excited!

Look for a couple of recaps upon my return, as there will be much to tell!

In the meantime, if you will be in Columbia and haven’t yet RSVP’d for Wine and Design on February 16, please plan on joining us for an informal and fun evening with local artists and designers.  Click here for more information.  See you soon!
