Friday Beautiful Things: Annieglass Votives

Image from annieglass.com

I’m back! As I’ve spent today preparing for company to arrive for the weekend, I found myself in a bit of mourning.  I was going through our serving plates and platters in preparation for tonight’s dinner and remembered my dear Annieglass platter that was given to us as a wedding present.  I adored it’s simple, luxurious luster.  Then, one day as I was prepping some hors d’ouevres to be served, a large knife slipped from my hand, and the heavy handle cracked the piece in two.  I was despondent. Mr. M had to give me a hug before I started to cry. And yet, even though wonderful boutiques such as Carol Saunders Gallery in Columbia carry these pieces, I have inexplicably held off on replacing the platter.

Today, I visited the company website to have a look around, and these votives caught my eye. Can’t you just see a row of them stretching out across a white tablecloth, their candles giving the room a perfect softness for an intimate dinner party?  Visit the company website for more beautiful finds!

Happy Friday!
